ABOUT ME
I am Drake A. Curtis Jr., the creative force behind PhotosByDrizzy, where my passion lies in capturing the essence of individuals through the lens of my Canon camera. Originating from the vibrant city of Boston, Massachusetts, my early years were spent performing with the Nia Dance Troupe, where I cultivated a profound appreciation for art and expression.
In addition to my artistic endeavors, I have embraced a fulfilling career as a flight attendant, an experience that has enriched both my life and my photography. Traveling to diverse destinations fuels my wanderlust and provides me with unique perspectives and cultural insights that deeply inform my work. Each journey enhances my ability to connect with people from all walks of life, allowing me to capture their beauty, grace, strength, enthusiasm, and individuality.
As I traversed the globe, my passion for photography flourished, compelling me to unveil the stories behind each subject. I believe that a person's wardrobe should harmonize with their surroundings, enabling each image to narrate a compelling story and evoke lasting memories.
With a flair for conceptual creation, I have had the privilege of capturing breathtaking moments in a variety of locales, including London, Amsterdam, and Australia. Through my lens, I strive to immortalize the unique narratives of individuals, fostering connections that transcend borders and cultures. My experiences as both a dancer and flight attendant continue to inspire me, profoundly shaping my vision and approach to photography.
I have hosted galleries, including my "Monochromatic" exhibition, and I am the resident photographer for Origination. My work has been published in various magazines, and I have had the honor of photographing fashion shows. Each opportunity allows me to continue my journey in capturing the beauty and stories of the world around us.
